Lessons learnt on keeping people engaged and motivated through periods of uncertainty

How do we manage ourselves and others in a VUCA (Volatile. Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) environment? Uncertain times require more resilience from team members, often when we are in periods of uncertainty productivity can drop as people spend their energy worrying about the potential outcomes of the situation.  Not only that, but key skills can be lost if people feel doubtful about the future of their organization. However, there are concrete steps you can take to minimize ambiguity and resulting low levels of engagement.

Gillian Jones-Williams, an expert in organisational culture and engagement will focus on keeping uncertainty low and engagement high in a presentation which delivers the ten top tips for managing effectively in a VUCA climate, and looks at the key mistakes that organisations need to avoid in times of uncertainty.

Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) - A Major Incident Masterclass

So here’s the thing. As a Major Incident Manager or Problem Manager, you can do all the ITIL training in the world but nothing can really prepare you for every major incident or crisis. It’s definitely something that becomes easier with experience.

Vawns has been a Problem Manager, on and off, for years, so in this session she'll share top tips for dealing major incidents and communicating effectively. You'll leave with tried and tested ways to help you get the show (back) on the road.

From the initial triage to telling senior managers to the final mop up, this session will take you through the end-to-end process so you can manage whatever gets thrown at you and your team effectively and safely.
